In 1964 my father built a house view from the studio in RI, next to my grandmother's home. It is a gorgeous location, and my brothers and I share it. We put an array of solar panels on the south facing roof, and it helps to defray the outrageously expensive electric heat, which was, in 1964, the latest and greatest.

We have loads of creatures that visit and eat our garden, deer, woodchucks, rabbits, turkeys, and some creatures that eat the creatures that eat our garden: fisher cats, red-tailed hawk, and a couple of Great Horned owls, one of which is calling right now.

I come from a closely knit, large extended family, and have tried to maintain a fairly extensive genealogy.

I was and still am an avid photographer, though most of my recent pictures are of my kids.

I've been in New York for a long time, and, for a country boy that loves the sea, beach, woods, gardens, boats and wild-life - I've had enough and long to come back to the middle of nowhere.

I started mindeartheart, and through it, promote, in a small quiet - sustainable - way, the music and artists that are heroic to me.

I try to sit zazen each day, and plan to continue my studies of tai-chi-chuang. I credit these, my loving family and friends, and the efforts and skills of the doctors in restoring my health after a PFO (small hole in the atrial wall) started acting up. I consider myself very lucky.
